Andorra's climate is typical of mountainous areas, with cold winters and mild
summers. The climate is dry, with a large number of sunny days.

The official language is Andorran Catalan, although 70%of the population also speak Spanish and 6% speak French.

Andorra lacked a currency of its own and used both the French franc and the
Spanish peseta in banking transactions until 31 December 1999
