The AGSB

For over 40 years, the Adelaide Graduate School of Business has been delivering professional postgraduate coursework programs in management studies. The school has gone through many changes, such as a name change (previously called the Graduate School of Management), expansion into offshore locations (Singapore and Hong Kong), a development of a dedicated Executive Education arm, and, most recently, collaborating with the Faculty of the Professions and its many schools to take on the administration of postgraduate coursework programs in the areas of Commerce, Economics, and Law.

Academically, the programs are delivered by the various schools of the Faculty. Under this system, the AGSB collaborates with and draws on the talents of academic staff and industry professionals associated with the different schools of the faculty. This gives us an edge over other business schools and postgraduate teaching centres, and the advantages are transferred directly to our students.

Today there are over 1200 students enrolled in the school's MBA programs, delivered in Adelaide and offshore. The school prides itself on its ability to provide services tailored to the multitude of students. But don't just take it from us" read from the testimonials of our many students who have found studying at the AGSB an exceptional, life-impacting experience.

Barr Smith Library The University of Adelaide subscribes to a vast number of online databases that allow students to search for and download relevant articles from a vast collection of current management journals from around the world. It also holds thousands of books and references in its physical location within the North Terrace campus.

The University of Adelaide's online library facilities are second to none. Living in Adelaide

The capital of South Australia, Adelaide is the ideal cosmopolitan city with a population of just over one million. Framed by parklands, hills and a coastline of golden sandy beaches, Adelaide is attractive, unpolluted, well designed and welcoming.

The lifestyle is affordable and easy-paced, safe, friendly and accessible, making Adelaide one of the world's most liveable cities. It has all the benefits of living in a larger city yet is more affordable than Melbourne or Sydney.

Costs for accommodation, food and transport are significantly less than in Sydney or Melbourne. This is supported by independent research undertaken by CPA Australia, the nation's peak business, accounting and finance body which conducted a detailed analysis comparing costs of housing, groceries, public transport, dining out and city car parking to determine how living in Adelaide compared to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

People come from all over the world to make Adelaide their home, and this multi-cultural setting has given rise to a vibrant and diverse way of life. Adelaide is famous for its varied, yet extremely accessible range of food, wine and entertainment. The city has several cafe districts, hundreds of world-class restaurants, a central Chinatown, modern and traditional watering-holes, and is gateway to the many superb wine regions of South Australia. Adelaide has a strong focus on the Arts, and plays host to many festivals and exhibitions, particularly embracing ethnicity and innovation in the arts.

International students may also be interested in organisations such as the Multicultural Communities Council of South Australia, which coordinates programs and events for people of all ages and ethnic backgrounds across the state.
