Charles Sturt University

Faculty of Science

Charles Sturt Universitys Faculty of Science was formed in 2007 through the amalgamation of the strongly science oriented Schools and programs of the Faculty of Health Studies and the Faculty of Science and Agriculture and has almost 7,500 students. It is now one of the most broadly based scientific academic concentrations in Australasia, with major foci in:

With university degrees and diplomas that have been developed in consultation with industry and professional groups, graduates of these education programs find employment in a variety of careers. Some graduates stay with us to study for higher degrees in our research programs, which attract academics and graduate students from other universities as well.

Our Vision

The Faculty of Science is structured to draw together, in a multidisciplinary format, the applied sciences, as a group and independently, to engage with issues of significant impact on the inland populations of Australia and which have coincidence with global development and well-being.

This will be achieved by the confluence of learning, research and support agendas in each of the Faculty's discipline areas under a single scaffold supported by quality assurance, relevance, knowledge generation, sustainability, understanding and ethical practice.
