Since its foundation in 1946 concordia Lutheran College has grown to become one of the Darling Downs' most respected and influential coeducational boarding schools. As a school of the Lutheran Church of Australia we are committed to serving our students their families and the wider community by providing quality education. We have three Toowoomba campuses: Martin Luther Primary Campus (K-6) concordia Primary Campus (K-6) and Redlands Campus (7-12).
As a K - 12 Christian College we endeavour to make Concordia Lutheran College a community of students staff and parents who support the College's values and aims. The great strength of the school lies in the spirit of its humanity. Of profound importance are the relationships and experiences which the school nurtures and develops in order to realise fully the potential of those in our care. At Concordia Lutheran College we are committed to the value and importance of girls and boys learning and working together as they will in their adult lives.
For more than sixty years our students have maintained a consistent and outstanding record of academic achievement. The Overall Positions (OP) achieved by Year 12 students each year are a testament to the College's high standard of teaching
Concordia boasts some of the most modern boarding facilities you could find. Accommodation is available for over 200 students in six boarding houses with a maximum of four students in each room. Each student has an individual bed-study unit with access to computers common rooms and leisure facilities. While maintaining firm but caring discipline House parents are aware that good clean fun is a necessity for everyone. They devise creative and enjoyable activities such as tournaments camps barbecues theatre and water park visits. Boarding is available from Year 7.
Ballon Outdoor Education Centre
Each of our Year 10 classes spend four weeks at Ballon during first semester undertaking a program administered by teachers and outdoor education specialists. The program is designed to foster personal spiritual and social development. There is an emphasis on physical tasks - hiking orienteering abseiling rock-climbing canoeing gardening - as well as basic survival tasks - cooking cleaning and washing. The mind and spirit are also exercised through initiative activities problem solving games and periods of quiet reflection.
