The Faculty of Veterinary Science aims to
produce registrable graduates who are able to communicate fluently in
English in various media and who are information literate; who have a
broad understanding in the biological and veterinary sciences and in
animal husbandry; who are skilled in animal management, medicine and
surgery, capable of investigating and resolving animal-related problems,
and familiar with the functions and routine management of practices; who
will support and promote animal welfare, the aims and image of the
profession, and protection of the natural environment; who will practice
scientifically, legally, professionally, safely, with compassion and
without discrimination, and who will be mindful of the need for regular
self-evaluation and continuing professional development.
