Nestled in a secluded bush setting and on the doorstep of the Landsdale Gardens and Corimbia estates our school provides a safe and secure environment within which children can grow and develop to their full potential. Based on the belief that the student is best served if home and school work together parents are encouraged to take an active interest in their child’s education and to become involved as much as possible in school life. Families are able to participate in a variety of community engagement and extra curricula activities throughout the year forming a strong sense of community spirit and support. Landsdale Gardens Adventist School has two overarching goals. Special Character - Bible-based christ-centred service-oriented Kingdom-directed Landsdale Gardens Adventist School is a community of faith and learning. Every student has the opportunity to encounter Jesus on a daily basis through worship prayer the Encounter Bible Curriculum and the Christian teachings that are integrated into all learning areas allowing all learning to occur through a Christian world view. This is supported by a comprehensive chaplaincy service that is offered to students and their families. School of ExcellenceEvery student is provided with a learning program aimed at achieving to their potential in all areas – academic physical social/emotional and spiritual. This is monitored through testing that measures learning over time to ensure that each student is making progress towards personal learning goals.
Through the Australian Curriculum and based on the needs of individual students strong emphasis is placed on core Literacy numeracy and Information and Communication Technology skills. Our teachers “go that extra mile” to ensure students are given the academic and personal support needed allowing students to work at a level that best suits their learning needs and therefore reaching their personal best. Students are provided with rich learning opportunities that allow them to apply key concepts to solve problems and develop critical thinking skills. The school’s detailed reporting process ensures parents are fully aware of their child’s progress and learning needs. Values are taught intentionally and incidentally across all learning areas and form an integral part of the learning opportunities provided to students.

Introduction of Secondary Schooling
Full government approval has been received to commence secondary schooling and enrolments for Year 8 are now open. Secondary years will be introduced as follows: • Year 8 2013• Year 9 2014• Year 10 2015• Year 11 2016• Year 12 2017
The Encounter Curriculum allows each student to have a daily encounter with Christ. Each student’s personal friendship with Jesus is encouraged whilst respecting their individual personal religious beliefs. The school recognises the importance of cooperating with parents towards the child’s individual character formation. A chaplain actively participates in the school’s program and students engage in daily worship and Christian faith development lessons.
Pastoral Care and Chaplaincy Program
The school is proud to offer a comprehensive chaplaincy program through the generous and joint funding of the Western Australian Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Commonwealth Government’s National Schools Chaplaincy Program funding initiative. The chaplaincy program is aimed at providing pastoral care and support to families students and staff. Participation in this program is completely voluntary and can be terminated at any stage of support where that support does not affect curriculum requirements. The school chaplain and school psychologist along with other professionals are available for support within the school as needed. A strong emphasis is given to building resilience well-being and positive self-esteem in students thereby fostering healthy relationships and problem solving abilities. A selection of parenting and lifestyle resources are available for borrowing through the school library on request.
