EARLY LEARNINGSince 1940 MGGS has provided families with an Early Learning experience that links home and school encouraging our children to learn through play and the wonder of exploration. We believe curiosity and imagination are vital to learning and that discovering how to make friends and work with others are skills for life that start in our ELC Program. Our centre has been designed using Reggio Emilia principles. All rooms are light filled spacious and designed to support creative and interactive learning activities. The beautiful timber decking is a natural amphitheatre for gatherings and events.
MORRIS HALL
JUNIOR YEARS: P – 4At Morris Hall girls are encouraged to become confident learners enjoying diverse opportunities to explore their emerging identities. We focus on the whole child developing sound foundations in literacy numeracy social skills and a positive disposition. We are currently building a new Junior School that incorporates specialist areas for Science the Arts and eLearning. Our gardens and play areas are spacious for an inner city campus. We pride ourselves on designing exceptional learning areas that support quality curriculum provisions.
MERTON HALL
MIDDLE YEARS: 5 – 8Our Middle Years Program sets the benchmark for the education of adolescent girls. Drawing on international research mGGS has developed a contemporary curriculum that provides academic rigour creativity and individual support as core features of the Middle Years experience. Our purpose built Years 5/6 Centre is a comfortable flexible environment with state of the art technology features. Our Middle Years girls have access to all the facilities of the Merton Hall campus and the extensive co curricular program. SENIOR YEARS 9 -12MGGS maintains an outstanding tradition of academic success for our senior girls. Expert and committed staff encourage students to have the self discipline and motivation to complete both a broad and deep program of core and elective studies. Our Merton Hall campus has exceptional facilities comprising specialist precincts for Music drama art sport and Science with fully wireless enabled generalist teaching spaces.
