Employment Options for International Students In The Tourism
Industry
This information is a general guideline for students
interested in pursuing employment within the Tourism
Industry in Canada. Please understand that the following
information is not complete nor does it guarantee employment
for any international student regardless of their country of
origin.
Complete guidelines, rules and regulations can be
obtained from the Canada Immigration website at

Practicum - Work Experience
|
Most private career colleges and some public colleges will
offer practicums or work experience as a part of their
program. In order for international students to participate
in the practicum placement, students will be required to
complete a "Change of Terms" form and submit it to Canada
Immigration. If your program includes a practicum, this will
be indicated on your Letter of Acceptance that you receive
from the school at the time of Registration. Only students
participating in programs with practicums that are
considered an integral part of the training or education
will be eligible to participate. The Enrollment Coordinator
or Registrar at the school offering the program will be able
to tell you if international students are able to
participate in the practicum. Practicums are generally
unpaid and will vary in length depending on the school and
program of study.

"Creating career
opportunities in
a changing world."
- Our Mission Statement

English
was second language for me and different cultural things but I could
overcome the difficulties. When I had difficult times my fellow and
professor were always there for me and gave me such a remarkable
advice. I surely can say that I had forgettable and excellent
experience. CTC have wonderful courses and always welcome students
as well as international students. I strongly recommend you to take
a course in CTC. You will gain a fine career in through CTC.

Pamela
Benson
Flight Attendant Pre-employment Diploma Program
The
Flight Attendant Pre-employment training at CTC prepared me for my
actual ‘Zip Air’ training which was to follow. The incredible
support from instructors and other staff members at CTC was
fantastic. I came to the college not knowing a soul, and left with
enough self-confidence and support to get out there and conquer the
world!
I wouldn’t have traded my education at CTC for anything! It was one
of the greater experiences of my life, and a wonderful opportunity
to meet many new friends!
