English Language Courses

Le Cordon Bleu offers General English language courses as well as the academic English language courses "Le Cordon Bleu English Language". This course is an advanced level course designed to prepare students for entry into the Le Cordon Bleu, Bachelor of Restaurant Management. As well as being a comprehensive preparation for academic study, the course adopts a practical "hands-on" approach that requires our students to learn hospitality and restaurant specific terminology in restaurant and hospitality settings.

The course also includes discussion group activities, research and project work, and an introduction to modern hospitality and restaurant computing practices.

A special feature of the course includes:
- Applied learning where students experience real life hospitality and restaurant situations to practice the appropriate language in an industry environment;
- Special emphasis on specific vocabulary needed to study in the hospitality and restaurant disciplines; and
- Field trips to hospitality and restaurant venues.

An IELTS score of 5.5 or TOFEL of 530 is required for entry to the Le Cordon Bleu Bachelor of Restaurant Business degree course & Professional Chef Progam in Sydney.

English Language Courses only offered at the Adelaide & Sydney Schools.

On-Campus Residence - Regency International House High quality single room, apartment-style accommodation is available in Regency International House.

Regency International House, located on campus, provides residential students with a modern, purpose built, villa-style complex that draws on the very best in tertiary education housing worldwide. All meals are provided 7 days a week and prepared on site. Cultural diversity is considered through special menus and a Moslem prayer room. Cost: Aus$203 per week.

Off Campus-Adelaide & Sydney
Off campus accommodation in a share house/unit is possible at a cost of approximately $Aus180 (Adelaide) Aus$280 (Sydney) per week all inclusive.
