Education:
The Master of
Education program is designed to encourage the development of
the professional educator. The program concentrates on an
educational framework that supports the advancement,
application, and integration of relevant theory and practice
within the classroom. In order to assume leadership positions,
teachers must become competent in curriculum content, design,
and implementation use of instructional strategies appropriate
for the developmental level of students and appropriate for each
curriculum area. The Master of Education program provides a
strong theoretical base that examines philosophical,
psychological, and research-oriented issues.

You will take one class at a time, and your classes will meet one night per week
at a location near your home or office. Classes meet on the same night for the
length of the program. In addition there is a required study group component,
which meets outside the classroom.
