France Education
The south
of France has a warm Mediterranean climate with hot
summers and mild winters. Strong winds, known as la
Mistral, can occur in the Cote d'Azur, Provence and in
the Rhone valley particularly over the winter and
spring. The currency of France is Euro. Euro,
the official currency of the European Union is the
single currency for more than 300 people in Europe. The
currency sign of Euro is the symbol. The population of France in 2003 was
estimated by the United Nations at 60,144,000, which
placed it as number 20 in population among the 193
nations of the world. In that year approximately 16% of
the population was over 65 years of age, with another
19% of the population under 15 years of age. The city of Paris, within its
administrative limits largely unchanged since 1860, has
