Marymount School, Paris, is a private Catholic international school offering an American-based curriculum to children of all faiths aged between 3 and 14. Marymount was the first international school established in Paris and is currently celebrating its 87th year.
Marymount’s campus comprises five buildings as well as a large playground and well-equipped play areas for Early Childhood. Facilities include an auditorium, refurbished in July 2008, a fully-equipped Science Lab, a comprehensive Library and Media Centre, a computer lab for Elementary and laptop lab for Middle School, a spacious art studio, and a brand new underground gymnasium complex and Middle School science and technology lab, opened in 2009.
Marymount accepts students of all cultures, religious beliefs, and abilities. The current student population sees over forty nationalities represented, with the largest denomination being American (41%). All major world religions are present too, with the largest proportion being Roman Catholic (41%). Marymount offers comprehensive support with ESL and individualized programs for students with special needs.
Marymount’s aim is to foster a lifelong love of learning in all of its students. This goal is achieved above all through excellent teaching provision, regular off-campus trips and activities, and strong ties with the French community.
Students at Marymount benefit from a well-rounded education which is complemented by a thriving extra-curricular program. English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and French are taught to all students.
Marymount places emphasis on the spirit of community which pervades the campus. The Parent-Teacher Organization is extremely hard-working and supportive in all of its initiatives. Relations with former students are flourishing and regular reunions are organized both in Paris and in the United States.
Marymount School, Paris shares the mission and beliefs of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary (RSHM) and is part of the RSHM Network of Schools. The school adopts the RSHM’s goals and criteria as its pedagogical cornerstone, and representatives of the RSHM Council sit on the Board of Directors, which governs the school and is responsible for strategic planning
