University of GuamThe University of Guam is a government-assisted land-grant institution
of higher learning and research, located in the United States Territory
of Guam. The island is one of the Mariana Islands, located in the
western Pacific Ocean. The university's main campus is located in the
city of Mangilao and there are three agricultural research stations
located elsewhere on the island. Founded as the College of Guam in 1952,
the university received its charter in 1968. The university is composed
of the colleges of agriculture and life science, arts and sciences,
business and public administration, and education; and four research
units: the Micronesian Area Research Institute, Marine Lab, Water and
Energy Resource Institute, and Learning Resources Center. The university
offers bachelor's degrees in 35 areas and master's degrees in 12 areas. Contact:
