Bauhinia Children in costume

E.S.F. Bauhinia School Hong Kong

Dear Parents

Welcome to the E.S.F. Bauhinia School Hong Kong, one of the sixteen English Schools Foundation's highly successful international schools.
Bauhinia School opened in January 2002 and is named after the bauhinia flower which is the emblem of Hong Kong.  It appears on the flag and coins of the region.  It is said that the species unique to Hong Kong (Bauhinia Blakeana) was discovered in the 19th century.  It was named after Sir Henry Blake, Governor of Hong Kong from 1898 to 1903, who had a keen interest in botany.
As parents of this new school your children will benefit from being a part of an established educational organization, using the U.K. National Curriculum as its framework, whilst enjoying a completely refurbished building and brand new up-to-date resources.
In welcoming your family to our school community, may I express the hope that we can forge a strong partnership to ensure your child enjoys personal, social and academic success in order to effectively meet the challenges of their future years, whatever and wherever they may be.
Above all we wish to provide a happy environment where all our children want to learn.  Every parent wants 'the best' for their children and I can assure you that we will try 'our best' to provide 'the best' at Bauhinia School.
Yours sincerely

Katie Jones
Head of School
