undergoing a significant transformation. Lawyers need to prepare themselves for
this change. The School of Law at City University of Hong Kong has the right
programmes to prepare you for your future.
Undergraduate
Programmes
The
LLB, offered in both full-time and combined
modes, prepares students for a career in law and other professional fields.
Postgraduate
Programmes
The JD offers those who have a
first degree in other disciplines a fast track route for entry to the legal
profession. It is also an ideal degree for leaders in non-law disciplines.
The Global Gateway LLM programme may be completed in one year or two years.
The MAArbDR programme can be completed between 1 year (fast-track evening) and
2˝ years (part-time evening).
The PCLL qualifies graduates to enter legal practice as trainee solicitors or
pupil barristers. The PCLL is offered full-time over one year and part-time over
two years.
The JSD provides an opportunity for students who wish to pursue higher studies
in law in Hong Kong. Graduates can use the abbreviation “Dr” before their names.
Except the full-time JD and full-time PCLL, our taught postgraduate programmes
are normally taught in the evening and Saturday afternoons.
