Villa Grimani is a small and unique school, set in a beautiful 16th century Venetian Villa surrounded by 30,000 square metres of parkland.

The school is student-centred, and the environment is friendly and family-like for both pupils and staff. The philosophy focuses on the education and development of each individual student. The school's methodology is based around children learning through 'exploring' and 'doing'. Children are guided to become self-motivated active learners. The school views the offering of academic knowledge being as important as building up and developing the character of students who should aim at acquiring a well-balanced, self-confident and open attitude. It is also important that they are equipped to become part of an international environment, as a citizen of the world with a sincere appreciation and respect for native cultures.

The staff are well qualified and are all mother tongue teachers with recognized teaching qualifications (B.Ed, PGCS or QTS) and a minimum of two years' teaching experience. The school is proud of its academic standards, the quality of education is constantly monitored by the Head Teacher. Villa Grimani's syllabus is based on the UK National Curriculum and on the Italian National curriculum for history, geography and maths.

Extra-curricular activities include drama, art, voice and piano lessons, sports, and outings to museums, working environments, newspaper headquarters, theatres etc are an important part of the school's commitment to the students' all-round education.

There is a wide range of nationalities such as British, American, Canadian, French, Thai, Italian represented among the staff and students.
