Learning Support Programme
The International School of Turin is an independent, co-educational day school from nursery to grade 12 for students of all nationalities.

The school is authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organisation to offer the PYP, MYP and the IB Diploma Programmes. The integrated English language and Italian programme courses in the Lower School are recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education. In the middle school there are also courses which

prepare Italian students for the Italian state exams at the end of grade 8. Students in grades 11-12 follow courses leading to the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme, as well as meeting the requirements for a college-preparatory diploma in the United States.

The school is a recognized testing centre for the PSAT and the SAT.

Instruction is in English. Italian, French and Spanish are taught as foreign languages. Specialist instruction is provided by art, music, PE, computer and special needs teachers.

The school is governed by a ten-member Board elected by associated members. The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

The student body is comprised of 23% British and US citizens, 56% host country nationals, and 21% from thirty-three other nationalities. Students leaving IST enter various recognized institutions of higher education throughout the world.

The school year starts at the beginning of September and ends in mid-June. There are holidays at Christmas and Easter and a mid-term break in February/March and November. The school day is from 09: 00 to 15: 30 Mondays through Fridays.

The school moved to a new campus near the town of Chieri in September 2010. The buildings are a mixture of old and new - the Villa Borbogliosa which has been completely renovated and a new structure comprising administrative offices, classrooms, science laboratories, ICT laboratories, music rooms, art rooms, cafeteria, assembly hall, library and gymnasium.

Admission is open to any foreign student three years or older with priority given to students whose native language or language of fluency is English.
