Language of Instruction English The International Community School (ICS) is a long established and highly reputed international school where students matter and where children come first. It is a non-profit making organisation; all money goes back into the school, which provides an excellent standard of education to over 725 students from more than 60 different nationalities.
ICS moved to a new purpose built campus in 2009. The campus is set in beautiful countryside on the outskirts of Amman. These premises offer high quality facilities in many specialist areas such as music, drama, PE, science and ICT as well as purpose built facilities for nursery and reception aged children and a sixth form suite. The school offers an inclusive British style education to children from the age of 3 to 18 delivered by a highly motivated British and internationally trained and qualified staff. The school follows the UK three term year, which runs from August to July. The curriculum is taught in line with the British National Curriculum leading to IGCSEs and GCSEs in Year 10 and 11 through to AS and A levels in Year 13 this is supported by BTEC courses.
The school is a member of the BSME (British Schools of the Middle East and the CIS (Council of International Schools) Each term a broad range of extracurricular activities is offered to help the students develop a wide range of interests and a healthy zest for life. Parental involvement in the school in encouraged with a range of activities being arranged for families and staff.
