Epsom College in Malaysia (ECiM) opened in September 2014. ECiM is a branch of Epsom College in Surrey, UK. It follows the English National Curriculum and offers IGCSEs and A Levels. The College is accredited with Cambridge International Examinations, AQA and EDEXCEL. Additionally the College offers the Extended Project Qualification for Sixth Form students. An experienced HE department offers support for students applying to university. AS examination results in the College’s first year showed a 65% A/B pass rate and at IGCSE 95.8% A*/A grades.
Almost 80% of the senior school (Years 7 to Upper Sixth) are boarders, living in one of the College’s six boarding houses. The College has a balanced curriculum and co-curricular programme. All students are well aware of the importance of learning outside the classroom and take full advantage of the many opportunities on offer.
The College is a member of the Round Square organisation, an international community of like-minded schools which live by the Round Square IDEALS (Internationalism, Democracy, Environmental Stewardship, Adventure, Leadership and Service). The International Award is offered to students from Year 9.
The Prep School (Early Years to Year 6) is fully integrated in the College and enjoys many opportunities to share resources and staff as well as being involved in the wider life of the College.
The teaching faculty at ECiM is outstanding. All staff are UK trained and are carefully selected and supported so as to be able to provide the best possible education in the best traditions of the British boarding school model.
ECiM's impressive facilities provide an outstanding environment within which the children can learn, enjoy and develop. On a 50 acre campus there is ample space for indoor and outdoor learning.
Entry to ECiM is typically in Prep, Year 7, Year 9 and Year 12, but students also join in Year 8 and Year 10. The application process is simple and the College aims to provide reassurance and support at all stages.
