At present the International School has in the region of 132 students from approximately 26 countries. The school offers both the IB Diploma Programme and Middle Years Programme. Students who have graduated from the school have found places at many universities and institutions of higher education in the USA, UK and in the Netherlands. All teachers are graduates from universities in the UK, the USA or the Netherlands and take part in a thorough scheme of teacher training courses and international conferences, both general and subject specific. The school is housed in a modern building consisting of 7 large classrooms (for the middle school) as well as an old country mansion with smaller classrooms appropriate to the size of its upper school classes. However, it also makes use of all the facilities of the neighbouring Maartenscollege. These include science laboratories, gymnasiums, sports fields, art rooms, library and computer facilities. Admission follows an interview with the Head Teacher and the relevant Deputy Head. Previous school reports and entrance tests will normally play a role in the admission procedure. |
