Kuranui College New Zealand

Fee-paying students have been attending Kuranui College since 1999. We value the contact with other cultures. Their contribution on the school campus enhances its multicultural character and broadens the experience of local students.

Support for International Students

Specialist staff are available in the Learning Extension Department for ongoing English language support on a daily basis. Orientation programmes introduce students to the New Zealand education system and the way of life in New Zealand. Individual curriculum timetable selection from a broad curriculum is discussed, leading to full mainstream when the student is ready.

Student Welfare

International students are the responsibility of the Dean of International Students, who provides guidance and regular contact between home and school. Assistance is given with immigration requirements, banking, uniform, travel, health insurance, health needs and day-to-day requirements.

We want international students to be happy and successful at Kuranui College.

Accommodation

Homestay -the Dean of International Students will arrange full board, which includes all meals and laundry. Local families are carefully selected to ensure a comfortable and friendly environment. The international students are included in all family activities, and are treated as one of the family.

Uniform

Full uniform is available for purchase in Greytown and Martinborough, with some items available from the College. A full uniform list is included in the College Choice package.
