excellent facilities available to students.
The
School is housed in a state-of-the-art modern structure purpose-built for
the division. Completed in 1993, the building features natural
ventilation, electric heating managed via a computerised energy management
system (very important during Dunedin's winter) and 24-hour access for
students. There are nearly 400 computers and 20 printers available to
students at any time.
Strong
reputation
A testimony to the School of
Business is its reputation within the wider business community. The School
is actively involved with local business through its Board of Advisors,
made up of prominent and well-respected members of New Zealand's
business community, and its Executive Mentoring Programme through which
established business executive 'partners' work alongside students
providing crucial careers and development advice. Many of these mentors
are alumni of the School of Business.
Internationally
recognised
The School also has strong links
with universities throughout the world and offers student exchanges to
more than 30 international business schools.
In recognition of its
international reputation, the School of Business was recently invited to
join the Program in International Management (PIM), an elite consortium of
international business schools, and the Pacific Asian Consortium for
International Business Education and Research (PACIBER). The School is
also a member of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD)
and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
These associations assist the School to achieve world class business
education standards and provide quality and unique experiences for staff,
faculty and alumni.
With world-renowned courses,
exceptional teaching staff and excellent facilities, the School of
Business outstrips the competition. A graduate of University of Otago's
