Institute of Digital Training & Design New Zealand About Digitrain Built on a solid foundation, Digitrain is a private training establishment registered and accredited with the New Zealand Qualifications Authority. This accreditation allows us to assess against a varied of Unit Standards of the National Unit Standards Framework. Digitrain was founded in April 2000 by Karen Mills, the Director. Digitrain is a company of highly experienced professionals within the industry. It initially began running short courses in Graphics, Web, and Multimedia applications for the corporate environment. A need for better technical training in graphics applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Freehand, was identified, as well as a need for having flexibility with the times in which courses could be run, to suit the busy lifestyle of people. This need for flexibility led to the membership structure, where clients can purchase course modules at varying discounted rates. Digitrain responded to the market call for accessible, quality, full-time and part-time training options within the digital technology field.
