School
Structure
Kristin School is structured as three schools within one school all on the
same campus:
Each school has its own Principal and pastoral-care structure and seeks to
create its own distinctive educational character within the overall
philosophy and ethos of Kristin School.
For more information on the three schools and their character visit the Curriculum
section.
Student
Welfare
At Kristin, the well-being of our students is paramount. Distinct
pastoral-care structures are adopted at different levels to best meet the
needs of students.
Junior School students have a 'home-room' teacher who is primarily
responsible for the well-being and progress of children in their class.
Year 7 and 8 students in the Middle School also have a home-room teacher
who teaches core subjects and provides pastoral care.
Year 9 and 10 students in the Middle School and all Senior School students
belong to Tutor groups that are designed to promote ongoing nurture and
support through their years at Kristin.
Deans at each year level oversee the pastoral-care network within the
school.
Student
Services
School Counsellors, Mr Chanel Houlahan and Mrs Amanda Christian, are
available to assist students and their families wherever professional
guidance and counselling is needed.
Careers and Vocational advice is available from Mrs Liz Poore through
regular information evenings and personal appointments available to

School Chaplain Rev. Harold Clark provides spiritual guidance and care to
the school community through personal involvement and regular Chapel
