Cedar Court British International School was established in 2006, with a mission to provide care and education during a child’s most formative years. It focuses on the whole development of the child aiming to create an international mindedness and equipping every pupil with essential skills for life long learning.
Cedar Court covers the three stages of the British curriculum namely, foundation stage, key stage 1 and 2. In use also is the International Primary Curriculum.
There is a colourful, attractive and stimulating environment with good facilities such as an ICT lab, televisions, DVD players, library, children’s laptops, smart white board etc.
A wide range of school clubs exists: they are writers club, French club, salsa & samba dance club, poetry club, interact club and many more.
Teachers are highly qualified and the pupil /teacher ratio is 15: 2.
The school is strategically located along Imgbi road, 15 minutes walk to the Government House in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. The school day starts at 08: 00 and ends at 15: 00 but the nursery closes at 1: 00. Admission is possible at anytime during the school year. Placement test are conducted for pupils before they are admitted.
Cedar Court organizes international summer trips yearly for its students from ages 5 and above. It involves a guided tour of some countries of the world which helps children to build an international mindedness and an appreciation of diversity of culture.
