Learning Support Programme
The International Schools Group provides education for multi-national students whose parents are temporarily residing and working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. ISG is governed by an appointed and elected Board of Trustees and is sponsored by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Education. ISG operates seven educational programs in four locations throughout the Kingdom. Included among these schools are four American curriculum schools in an American division, two National Curriculum school in a British division, and one school in an international division utilizing a modified American curriculum.
The American curriculum schools are accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the British school delivers the National Curriculum for England and Wales. Dhahran British Grammar School is inspected periodically by professional education support groups located in the United Kingdom, utilizing the OFSTED-style inspection framework and is CIS accreditated. The International Division schools are accredited by MSA.
ISG operates under a license granted by the Saudi Ministry of Education. Non-Saudi Muslims are permitted to enroll in District schools with prior approval of the Ministry of Education. Saudi Arabian nationals, however, are not permitted to attend ISG schools. Facilities at all of ISG's school sites include science labs, computer labs, libraries and physical education facilities. Extra-curricular activities are offered at all sites and include activities such as drama, music, crafts, sports and photography.
Facilities on ISG Dhahran campus include a library with 100, 000 volumes, three covered play areas, three gymnasiums, three playing fields, four science labs, six computer labs, a mini-theatre, auditorium and a dinning hall.
