Training Facilities
Marine Training
Dynamic Positioning
Our DP Training suite provides the latest Kongsberg
Simrad and Alstom Duplex simulators. We believe in giving training with
significant “hands on” experience and equipment to the student. Training
is validated by the Nautical Institute (NI), and approved by the
Norwegian Maritime Directorate (NMD), Maritime Coastguard Agency (MCA)
and Flag State Countries.
Stability and Ballast Control
ASET has been providing courses in semi-submersible
stability and ballast control for many years and has the only
commercially available ballast control simulator. This simulator
provides realistic movement and reaction in relation to changes in
sea-state, weight loading and also changes in the mooring pattern.
Stability Courses fully comply with the United KingdomOOA guidelines for the
selection and training of Ballast Control Operators and the ‘IMO
Resolution A891(21)’ for the training of MOU operators.
Marine Operations of Self Elevating Platforms
(Jack-Up)
The Jack-Up course utilises a dynamic simulator in a
similar way to the Ballast control. Once again, this training is unique
and allows students to experience failure modes such as “punch-through”.
