Study at California State University San BernardinoFounded in 1965, California State University, San Bernardino or CSUSB is a state-funded university in San Bernardino, California. It is part of the California State University System. The university enrolls more than 15, 000 students every year. The campus covers over 1,300,000 square feet. CSUSB offers more than 70 programs and certificates and comprises five academic colleges in the following fields: CSUSB has facilities for basketball, baseball, volleyball, soccer, softball, swimming and tennis. The school colors are Columbia blue and black. The sports team of CSUSB is known as the ‘Coyotes’. They participate in the California Collegiate Athletic Association in the NCAA's Division II. Cal State San Bernardino is located in San Bernardino, CA (a medium-sized city). The school is a public institution. The highest degree level offered by Cal State San Bernardino is the Master's degree. The school is known for its programs in mathematics, family and social work, and liberal arts. Cal State San Bernardino does not offer open admission. Three quarters of students in 2007 had SAT verbal scores of at least 390. Half of math SAT scores of accepted students fell between 400 and 510. Cal State San Bernardino has a tenure system for senior faculty. The full-time faculty at the school is well-paid, which often goes with faculty quality. Cal State San Bernardino had 17,066 enrolled students in 2007. The school has a large minority student population. Cal State San Bernardino values student athletics, and belongs to the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
