The College of North East London
About the college
I would like to welcome you to CONEL. The college is all about people
– and our philosophy is about putting learners at the heart of what we
do.
We believe in listening to the views of the people who study and work
here and we seek to constantly move the college forward, based on the
needs and wants of its users.
CONEL has around 12,000 full-time and part-time students and
approximately 1,000 staff on several sites including the Tottenham
Centre, Tottenham Green Centre, Valleymedia, the Digital Arts Centre and
the Middlesex University Campus in Bounds Green.
We offer cutting edge facilities and inspirational study environments
including extensive Information Technology access. Recent improvements
include the building of a brand new exam hall to seat 185 people and the
complete re-design of the Advice Centre.
CONEL has something to offer everyone. We look forward to welcoming
you soon!

The Style Zone - On-site Hair
& Beauty Salon
When the studying gets
too much, treat yourself to a massage, a new hairstyle or manicure –
for a fraction of the usual cost by visiting our impressive, newly
refurbished ‘The Style Zone’.
The smart salon, barber's
shop and therapy rooms are open to the public and all treatments take
place under the supervision of our fully qualified staff.
As a training salon,
appointments may take a little longer than usual. Some treatments may
require a skin test 24 hours in advance, certain medical conditions may
prohibit treatment. The Style Zone also has a sauna available for
particular treatments. Further
information on the Style Zone is available
Student Union & Representation
So what’s the Student Union all about? Well, the SU is run by
students, for students. As soon as you enrol at CONEL, you automatically
become a member with the right to claim an NUS card.
But you can play a much
bigger part in making decisions affecting you and your colleagues.
There are also opportunities to become a
Student Representative, acting on behalf of your class to feedback on
your course and other college facilities
