Study at Vernon College
The Wilbarger County Junior College District was established on January 20, 1970. Classes began in 1972 on the campus of Vernon Regional Junior College. This junior college went through many changes and finally became Vernon College on May 23, 2001. It is located in Vernon, Texas, United States. Vernon College currently enrolls more than 2,000 students. In addition to the main campus, Vernon College also offers classes at the Sheppard Learning Center, Century City Center, and Skills Training Center in Wichita Falls. Vernon College offers students a wide range of degree programs including associate and baccalaureate degrees in arts and sciences, technology, and nursing. The institue also offers online courses and continuing education program. The athletics department of Vernon College fields teams in baseball, rodeo, softball, and volleyball.
