Teacher/Pupil ratio 1:10 Renowned for its warm family feel, Braeburn School Arusha guarantees that students from all over the world soon feel valued and at home. Difference is celebrated and respected and individuals are set their own targets for improvement. This means that students are seen as individuals and not as a group. Our small class sizes, along with the care that each student receives from their form tutor, makes this approach possible.

We offer a wide range of subjects, both academic and vocational and we offer different approaches to qualifications, wherever possible including coursework as well as exam papers. Students can choose to study as many as 10 Cambridge IGCSEs or as few as 6 and some choose to take papers after one year instead of after two years. In the sixth form, students can opt for a vocational, coursework pathway to university (BTEC) or a more traditional exam based route (A Levels), with both pathways guaranteed to lead onto success.

Our careers advice, work experience programme and post-16 mentoring interviews, combined with visits to higher education university fairs, means that all of our students are well informed about the various options available to them once they leave Braeburn. As a result, 100% our students over the past five years have found themselves accepted in universities across the world.

The Boarding facilities and care at Braeburn School Arusha were recently described as 'excellent' by a representative from the Council of International Schools. And the students in our care would agree. Unlike traditional boarding houses, our students from 10 different countries of the world, describe boarding as 'home away from home'. Dubbed as the best boarding home in East Africa, this million dollar investment boasts ensuite bedrooms, wireless Internet, three lounges and two purpose built study areas. DSTV, wholesome home cooking and a wide array of books and games continue to make the place feel like home. Add to this a range of outings and activities at the weekend and teacher help with home learning during the week and you will understand why Braeburn boarding is so popular.

Braeburn International School Arusha takes great pride in the rich programme of activities that we offer all our students, whether it be sport, extra-curricular activities, community service or exciting trips. Not surprisingly, our students blossom and become the confident, polite and well adjusted young people that we are all so proud of.
