American Pacific International SchoolEstablished in 1997 to provide an opportunity for those living in Asia to access an American boarding school. Initial input from Taft School, Watertown, Connecticut. The school is accredited by WASC, has achieved candidate status for PYP (K-G5) and is fuly licensed by the Royal Thai Ministry of Education.CURRICULUM A broad curriculum encourages questioning and enquiry. PYP provides a framework for K-G5 and High School leads students towards AP courses in their Senior year. STAFF Mainly from America, with some from Australia and Canada. All full-time staff are qualified teachers in their native country. The vast majority are native speakers of English or are teaching their native language. In Kindergarten adn Elementary classes there are teacher assistants. SCHOOL YEAR AND SCHOOL DAY August - June with breaks in October ( 1 week), December (3 weeks), April (3 weeks) and between June and August.
