The Regent's School

The Regent's School -Thailand has two campuses, Pattaya and Bangkok, plus a comprehensive Outdoor Education centre on Koh Chang. The main campus near Pattaya was founded in 1995; it is a co-educational day and boarding school for students aged 2-18 years. It offers the English National Curriculum and was founded to serve two major communities: that of expatriates who are working in the region, and that of parents who wish their children to receive an English style of education before going to western universities. The school is fully accredited by the Thai Ministry of Education, and it is fully accredited by WES (OFSTED inspectors) and International Baccalaureate Organization. The The Regent's School is a member of the Round Square Association, a worldwide group of independent schools that offers children the chance to develop leadership skills and self reliance as well as opportunities to participate in community service and adventure activities around the world. At the moment The Regent's is the only full member of this prestigious Round Square from East and Southeast Asia. The The Regent's School has grown rapidly, and further capacity is being added to the existing nine buildings. The new 'coliseum' style complex, scheduled to open in September 2003, will be known as 'the Round Square'. This landmark will house the new Primary School and a 650-seater art theatre to be called 'the Globe'. Whilst the rate of increase is being slowed with a more testing admissions policy at all levels, places are available for boarders over the age of seven and day students at any age below 17 years. Fluency in English is expected from all older entrants. School Summary:
