MEF IS, with its IB Primary Years Programme (IBPYP) and IB Diploma Programme (IBDP), provides a quality education to students from ages three to 18. MEF IS is a Cambridge International Examinations Centre (CIE), offering Checkpoint exams, and IGCSE. MEF IS educates students to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners. Instruction is in English. Students also study French or Spanish and the host country. The Learning Support Team provides individual and small-group support to students through English Language Learning (ELL), Learning Support, Enrichment/Extension, as well as Guidance and College Counseling. Our Students Students come from 54 different countries. Model European Parliament and Model United Nations Students participate in Model European Parliament (MEP) and Model United Nations (MUN). This year students will attend conferences in Berlin, Budapest, Athens and Istanbul. Academic Success Graduates attend prestigious universities around the world. Middle school students scored well above average on Cambridge Checkpoint Examinations in 2015. At IGCSE, 30% of students scored A* or A and 70% of students scored A*-C in June 2015. Students in the IBDP scored well above world average in May 2015. Students attend prestigious universities around the world. Our Faculty Eighty full-time staff members represent 15 nationalities. All teachers hold university degrees and teaching certificates. Forty-five percent of teachers also hold postgraduate degrees. The student to teacher ratio is 6.2:1. Our Facilities The campus is in the heart of Istanbul on over nine acres in a residential neighborhood above Ortaköy near the Bosphorus Strait. Facilities include over 30 classrooms, specialist and learning support rooms, one IT and four science labs, a library, two playgrounds, an indoor swimming pool, a gymnasium, three sport centres, a dance studio, two outdoor football fields, a tennis court, an auditorium, and an outdoor amphitheatre. | ||||||||||||||||||
