Language of Instruction English EF Academy International Boarding Schools opens a world of opportunities for high school students by providing them with a superior education, thorough university preparation and a future that knows no borders.

Our school is situated in the city of Oxford, renowned for its scholastic tradition and rich cultural and architectural heritage. EF Academy students join Oxford's vibrant academic community, which attracts leading scholars from around the world. Ten minutes from Oxford’s center, the campus has spacious classrooms, modern science labs and inviting lounges. Students also benefit from access to the library and sports center of nearby Oxford Brookes University. In the international environment at EF Academy Oxford, students from over 60 different countries live and learn together.

Education at EF Academy Oxford is highly individualized. Students follow the IB Diploma or A-Level program and take intensive English language courses. In 2015, 44% of students earned at least one A/A* (top score: A*A*A*A*) and 35% received at least 35 IB points (top score: 41). Students benefit from an enrichment program that includes visits to Oxford University lectures and laboratories. To allow students to pursue their passions outside of school, EF Academy Oxford has a wide range of co-curricular activities on offer, including clubs, sports, volunteering opportunities and cultural excursions.

EF Academy Oxford graduates have gone on to attend universities such as Imperial, St. Andrews and Durham; all of our students receive acceptance to university degree programs, many for highly competitive courses such as Economics, Engineering or Medicine.

Our students are supported by a team of encouraging faculty members who offer guidance on everything from homesickness to course selection. Dedicated university advisors work together with students to help them prepare the best applications possible. Each student is supported by a personal tutor who monitors their academic progress and general well-being.
