As a growing two-year college, OTC provides excellent and affordable
programs to suit every interest and need. Our curriculum includes career
training, continuing education, transfer options, and custom-designed
training for business and industry.

Academic Programs
OTC
is committed to educational quality and to meeting the needs of its
service area. The purposes of OTC's programs are to develop competent
workers for initial employment, to upgrade the skills of those already
employed, and to provide a foundation of thinking and analytical skills
to meet the requirement of society's expanding knowledge base.
OTC also offers basic skills instruction for students who request or
require academic support and/or study skills to assist them in
successful completion of a regular program of study. Check out all of

1. You are not just a face
in the crowd!
Education is a personal experience at OTC. With an average class size of
13 students, YOU are a name-not a number. Faculty and staff are
committed to student success. OTC lives its philosophy of creating "A
COMMUNITY OF CARING."
2. It makes dollars and cents sense!
Tuition at OTC is one-third the cost of surrounding universities. The
SAME three-hour course tuition of $123 at OTC is from $333 to $383 at
neighboring universities. Lower fees also add to the affordability!
Plus, recent high school and GED grads may receive a Trustee Scholarship
that will pay half of your first term, full-time tuition (6 credit hours
maximum). Other financial aid is available to all who qualify.
3. We give credit where credit is due!
Through testing-and/or evaluation of work experience you could be
eligible for course credits. Call the Office of Student Services for
more details. Plus, high school students can receive high school and
college credit at the same time in our concurrent enrollment courses.
4. You can spend less and make more!
Get a certificate or degree free! Complete a program in Electronics,
Industrial Maintenance, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Repair
and your student loan (up to $10,000) could be forgiven through the
Arkansas Technical Careers Student Loan Forgiveness Program. Earnings
for these careers range from $25,000 to $50,000.
5. Bigger doesn't mean better!
OTC is accredited by the SAME organization that accredits all Arkansas
colleges and universities-the North Central Association-ensuring OTC
provides quality education and services. Appropriate courses are readily
accepted at state universities. In fact, most state universities offer a
full tuition scholarship to OTC's Associate Degree grads with honor
grades.

OTC's hassle-free registration, computer and learning labs, "hands-on"
learning, caring faculty, and staff; career, academic, personal
counseling; basic skills instruction, and free tutoring, are offered to
help you succeed.

Whether you want to prepare for a new career with a degree or
certificate, to get the basics to transfer to a university, to upgrade
your skills, to complete your GED, to get customized training for your
employees, or to just learn to send e-mail to family and friends, OTC
has a credit and/or non-credit course or program for you.

The OTC campus is conveniently located off I-30 in Malvern for easy
access. Plenty of parking is an added bonus! Classes are also offered in
Benton, Sheridan, Bismarck, as well as at businesses and industries, and
area high schools.

With over 5,000 feet of networking and fiber optic cable, over 350
on-campus computers and another 150 at off-campus locations, OTC can
connect you with the world! Whether you need to learn to turn on the
computer, to surf the 'net, or to set up a network, OTC provides
hands-on classroom experience at the level you need.
10. Education is the key!
Today, almost all jobs require some college, though many do not require
a four-year degree (nurses-$24,370, welders-$26,000, computer
specialists-$25,000 and up). The U.S. Dept. of Labor reports that 1998
median annual income for high school/GED grads was $19,525; for
associate degree grads--$25,800; for bachelor's degree--$32,400; for
master's degree--$42,400; for doctor's degree--$60,350.
