Additionally, please note that the International Cultural Exchange Program (Q-1 Visa) is for certain international cultural exchange programs designed to provide practical training and employment. The training/employment petition must be approved in advance by Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). To learn more, go to the USCIS Website, select International Cultural Exchange. To learn more about applying for the Q visa, select temporary worker visa. The Irish Peace Process Cultural and Training Program or Walsh Program (Q-2, Q-3 visa) is a cultural exchange and employment-training program, administered by the Department of State.
