Everett Community College
Everett is one of Washington's oldest community colleges, established in 1941, and has a fine tradition of excellence. Everett Community College is located in a friendly and safe neighborhood in north Everett.
A special place, Everett is proud of its own symphony, theater, Opera Guild, art galleries and home to the minor-league baseball team affiliated with the Seattle Mariners. Residents of Everett enjoy:
On campus facilities include computer and science labs, a spacious library-media center, photography, graphic design and media labs, technical program shop, cafeteria, bookstore, an art gallery, and student services offices such as diversity and equity center, disability services, student support services, counseling and career center, and the enrollment services center.
HOUSING
Many international students participate in a home stay program. Host families help students become familiar with American customs. A monthly fee for room and board is paid directly to the host family. Everett Community College does not have dormitories, but there are apartments available nearby. Many students come to the college by bus. Those who live outside the city generally drive to the college. Auto insurance in mandatory.

Current full-time tuition is approximately $2,700* per quarter, payable at the time of registration. Tuition and fees are subject to change by the Washington State Legislature and usually increase each year. International students must have proof of medical insurance or purchase it through the College’s provider.
* Please note: Due to higher credit hours required , tuition and fees for the Aviation Maintenance Technology and Cosmetology programs are approximately $3,250 per quarter ($13,000 per year).
SCHOLARSHIPS After one year of attending Everett Community College, international students are eligible for a number of scholarships. Please speak with the International Student Advisor for more information about scholarships.
HOW TO APPLY International Students applying to Everett Community College must submit the following documents: 1. A completed international student application (available on our website). 2. Official transcripts (with English translations) from all high schools and colleges. Completion of secondary school is required. 3. TOEFL score report is NOT REQUIRED FOR ADMISSION, but is recommended for visa application. New students are required to take a placement test at the time of arrival. Students with low English skills are placed in English language classes during the first term(s). 4. A current financial statement certifying sufficient financial support, approximately $17,000 for one academic year.

TRANSFER TO UNIVERSITY
Everett Community College offers pre-professional education to the first two years of a four-year college or university in over 100 different academic programs. Three 10-week quarters are in the regular academic year; a full-credit summer quarter is scheduled into eight weeks. The college also provides vocational and technical training of varying lengths to give students the skills they need for specific occupations.
The college confers the degrees of Associate in Arts and Sciences, Associate of Science, Associate in Business – Transfer, Associate in Fine Arts, Associate in Technical Arts, Associate of Applied Science – Transfer (Information Technology) and Associate in General Studies. Certificates are awarded in many vocational and technical fields.
The Associate in Arts and Sciences, and several other transfer degrees, are designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university. Everett has direct transfer agreements with most colleges and universities within the state of Washington and Oregon, allowing students to complete their general requirements and/or pre-major requirements at Everett and transfer with junior standing.
