Environmental Studies at Lawrence University

The major and minor in environmental studies are designed to give students a greater understanding of the interplay between the natural and social sciences in dealing with environmental issues. Ecological systems are made up of interconnected components; changes occurring in one part of the system are felt throughout the whole. This program gives students who have either a general or professional interest in the environment a background that will better enable them to evaluate scientific, economic, and social aspects of environmental problems.
