Herzing College in Birmingham was founded in 1965. We are conveniently located in Homewood, near downtown Birmingham and I-65.  Herzing College has modern computer labs, electronics labs, lecture rooms, and a library and resource center all dedicated to providing students with the tools necessary to find exciting careers in their fields of study.

In Herzing’s unique curriculum you get the educational program that’s right for you. You also have the opportunity to apply that education towards an associate degree or Bachelor of Science degree at Herzing.

For instance, you might start in an intensive diploma program to get some immediate job skills. However, if you do not have a degree, you may soon wish to have the increased opportunities and earning power associated with having an associate degree or Bachelor of Science degree on your resume.

Herzing College believes that higher education enhances an individual's potential, and helps that person achieve personal and professional goals. Based on that belief, we've simplified our admission process and made it student friendly. And we've eliminated our application fee!

Employment Service

All education has value, but we know our students are serious about applying their Herzing education in a way that's going to make a difference in their lives. Consequently, we have an active and supportive Employment Services Department that is involved in:

• Preparing students in job seeking skills

• Assisting with resume development

• Providing individual guidance on the student's job search

• Contacting employers to develop job leads and interviews

• Assisting students with part-time employment (if needed) while enrolled in classes at Herzing

Admissions

There are two simple methods of applying for admission at Herzing College. You may apply on line or in person at our campus. An essential aspect of the process involves an interview with one of our admissions representatives. Our representatives are trained to provide you with important information in such areas as, program content & description, scheduling, employment opportunities, and student services. We will also evaluate your aptitude, and review your prior education to ensure that you meet the requisite criteria for admission.
