Study at Morehouse College

 

Morehouse College is a historically black college located in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. It was established in 1867 by William Jefferson White, an Augusta Baptist cabinetmaker and minister. Originally, the college was named Augusta Institute. It received its present name in 1913. Morehouse College occupies a land area of more than 60 acres. The college offers degrees through its academic divisions, which are:

  • Division of Business Administration and Economics
  • Division of Humanities and Social Sciences
  • Division of Science and Mathematics

Morehouse College's athletic teams are known as the Maroon Tigers. Students compete in campus sports such as baseball, basketball, football, cross country, tennis, golf, and track and field. Students have access to several of the college's Greek fraternities and sororities including Alpha Phi Alpha, Phi Beta Sigma, Iota Phi Theta, and Omega Psi Phi.
