University of North Alabama, also known as UNA, is a coeducational university located in Florence, Alabama, United States. It was originally established in 1830 as LaGrange College. It is the state's oldest, four-year, public university. The main campus is spread across an area of over 120 acres. UNA was ranked as a top tier public university in the Southern Master's category of U.S. News and World Report's America's Best Colleges (2008 edition).
