Climate:

The climate in Juneau and the southeast panhandle is a mid-latitude oceanic climate in the southern sections and a subarctic oceanic climate in the northern parts. On an annual basis, the panhandle is both the wettest and warmest part of Alaska with milder temperatures in the winter and high precipitation throughout the year.

Language:

According to the 2005 2007 American Community Survey, 84.7% of people over the age of five speak only English at home. About 3.5% speak Spanish at home. About 2.2% speak another Indo-European language at home and about 4.3% speak an Asian language at home. And about 5.3% speak other languages at home.

Currency:

Alaska is a state in the United States, hence they use U.S. currency. Canadian coins, though not bills, are also in wide circulation and are often accepted at local (non-chain) stores.

Population:

Current estimate of 710, 231 people by the 2010 census.In documents provided by the Alaskan government, the population as of the US.Federal Census is 626, 932 in 2000.

Capital City:

The City and Borough of Juneau is a unified municipality located on the Gastineau Channel in the panhandle of the U.S. state of Alaska. It has been the capital of Alaska since 1906.
