Profile ofCollegeAmerica

More than 40 years ago, CollegeAmerica was founded to prepare men and women for in-demand jobs. The school has six campuses serving the western area of the United States.

The ACCSCT (Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology) is a U.S. Department of Education-recognized agency that has provided the school with its accreditation.

Points of Distinction

  • Career college serving Wyoming, Colorado and Arizona

  • Job placement assistance department

  • Nationally accredited

Course Topics

CollegeAmerica's offers occupational associate's degrees and/or bachelor's degrees in four general Course Topics: Allied Health, Business, Computers, and Graphic Arts. Not all programs or degree types are available at every campus. The associate degree can be obtained in a minimum of 15 months, while requirements for a bachelor's degree can be met in as little as 30 months.

CollegeAmerica Admissions

Applying for admission to CollegeAmerica is a relatively straightforward process. Students generally need to have a high school diploma or an equivalency certificate. Other requirements may apply, but the college's admissions policy is non-competitive. New classes form monthly, so there are no particular deadlines for submitting an application.

All prospective college students need a plan for paying for tuition and students at CollegeAmerica are no exception. Many students who attend the college qualify for financial aid from the U.S. government and other sources. Staff at the college will work with prospective students to help them through the range of aid choices.

Faculty Quality

The school's career focus requires that instructors at the school have sufficient field experience to pass relevant and practical knowledge to their students. Class sizes are kept small to encourage more individualized attention to each student's personal learning needs.

CollegeAmerica Student Enrollment

Each campus of the college is relatively small with several hundred students per campus maximum. The majority of students at the school are women.

Student life

Extracurricular life at CollegeAmerica revolves around the cities where the campuses are located. Classes are scheduled so that working adults or those with family responsibilities can both work and study simultaneously.
