Study at South Mountain Community College 

 

South Mountain Community College was established as a part of the Maricopa County Community College District on April 18, 1978. This community college is located in Phoenix, Arizona. More than 8,000 students enroll in SMCC every year. Apart from its main campus, classes are also offered in:

  • Laveen Center

South Mountain Community College offers associates degrees in arts, business, applied science and general studies, as well as certificate programs in various fields of study. Transfer programs to other colleges are also available.

The athletics department of SMCC fields men's teams in baseball, basketball, golf and soccer, and women's teams in basketball, golf, volleyball, soccer and softball. The teams are members of the National Junior College Athletic Association and the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference.
