Study at Arkansas Tech University
Arkansas Tech University Arkansas Tech University was established as the Second District Agricultural School in 1909. The first classes were held here on October 26, 1910. It was named the Arkansas Polytechnic College in 1925 and adopted its current name on July 9, 1976. In addition to its main campus in Russellville, Arkansas, the university also has a small satellite campus in Ozark, Arkansas. ATU is organized into the following academic divisions: Graduate School School of Business School of Community Education and Professional Development School of Education School of Liberal and Fine Arts School of Physical and Life Sciences School of Systems Science ATU participates in NCAA Division II athletics. The university is a member of the Gulf South Conference. The men's and women's sports teams sponsored by ATU include football, baseball, volleyball, golf, tennis, softball, cross country and basketball.
