Study at Belmont University
Belmont University was established in 1890 as the Belmont College. After several name and status changes, it given its present name in 1991. The campus of over 70 acres is located in Nashville, Tennessee. In addition, it also has a regional campus in Franklin and national campuses in Los Angeles, California and in New York City, New York. The university attracts students from more than 25 countries worldwide. Belmont offers an array of degrees and programs through the following schools and colleges:
Belmont competes in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I and is a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference. Their sports teams are known as the Bruins and their mascot is named Bruiser the Bruin. Belmont is found in Nashville, TN. Nashville is a large city. Applicants to the school are attracted by its Baptist identity. Belmont is a private, not-for-profit institution. Students can earn degrees up to and including the Doctoral degree at the school. Course TopicsBelmont is known for its programs in music and nutrition and exercise therapy. Belmont SelectivityAdmission to the school is not automatic; not everyone who applies gets in. Three quarters of students in 2007 had SAT verbal scores of at least 540. Half of math SAT scores of accepted students fell between 530 and 630.
