Study at California State University Bakersfield

 

California State University, Bakersfield is a public university founded in 1965. It is often referred to as CSUB or CSU Bakersfield or Cal State Bakersfield. The university offers enrollment to over 7,000 students every year. It is built on a 375 acre campus and there are more than 30 bachelor's and 20 master's degree programs. CSU Bakersfield also offers doctoral programs.

The CSU Bakersfield sports teams are called the Roadrunners. The softball team has won quite a few championships for the university. The men's basketball, wrestling, soccer, and swimming and diving teams and the women's volleyball team have been the winners of a number of national championships.

The list of alumni of CSU Bakersfield is quite impressive and includes names like Roy Ashburn, California State Senator, Stephen Neal, the New England Patriot, NCAA and World Champion Wrestler, and athletes Tito Ortiz, Lyle Martin, Josh Wicks and Kebu Stewart.
