Los Angeles Southwest College, also referred to as LASC, is located in an unincorporated area in Los Angeles, California, United States. It was established in 1967 and opened its doors to the public in September of that year. It was established in response to the complaint, of local officials and citizens, that not enough was being done to educate the African-American population, which was a majority in the area.
