Study at University of Hartford University of Hartford, also known as UHA or UHart, is a private, independent, co-educational university located in West Hartford, Connecticut. Originally established as the Hartford Society for Decorative Art in 1877, it was chartered in 1957 when the Hartford Art School, The Hartt School of Music, and the Hillyer College joined this institute. The university grants admission to over 4,000 students every year and is well known for offering a wide range of majors in music.
University of Hartford's sports teams are called the Hartford Hawks and Howie the Hawk is the official mascot. The institution offers sports programs, for men and women, in basketball, track and field, and baseball.
